RC-Project Clutch Retainer Allen Screw in Titanium Grade 5 6Al4V

The new Allen Screw is made of Grade 5 (6Al4V) titanium, certified as originating in the U.S. The choice of titanium is due to its different thermal expansion properties compared to steel, which makes it possible to unscrew or screw the Allen screw without any problems, even when the engine is hot.

It has a total length of 9 mm, of which 6 mm is threaded, and it protrudes from the crankshaft by only 3 mm to avoid collisions with the tank in the event of excessive chassis flexion.

The new geometry eliminates any rubbing between the bearing and bell in order to decrease the operating temperature of the whole assembly. In addition, the external diameter protects the bearing from dust and foreign bodies.

We recommend not using any type of threadlock and leaving a clearance of 0.15–0.2 mm between the bell and the Allen screw.
Always use tools in good condition!

The Allen Screw can be used with any engine and mounted on all 1/8 Buggy models.
